Specific Conditions of Use
Rules that apply to individual games — lotteries, casino / eGaming and sports betting — including draws, settlement, prizes and claims.
-
1. How these conditions apply
These Specific Conditions of Use supplement our Terms & Conditions (Player Agreement) and apply to each game offered on the site. Where there is any conflict for a particular game, the game's specific conditions prevail. By participating you accept the rules, prize structure, odds, cut-off times, settlement rules and draw schedule applicable to that game, as published on its page. You must be 19 or older and resident in and located in British Columbia to play.
-
2. Lotteries — buying tickets and selections
For draw games such as Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, BC/49, Keno and BC 50/50, you choose a set of numbers from the available range or use Quick Pick to generate them at random. You may play multiple lines up to the per-game maximum, and the cost shown is the price per line multiplied by the number of lines. An entry is confirmed once payment is accepted and a ticket is recorded in your account, and is valid only if received and confirmed before the draw cut-off, with times given in Pacific Time.
-
3. Draws and random number generation
Draws take place on the published schedule for each game. Winning numbers and the outcomes of eligible casino / eGaming games are produced by a certified random number generator that is independently tested for fairness. Draw records and game logs are retained for audit. See our Fairness & RNG Testing Methods page for more detail.
-
4. Prize tiers and odds
Each game's prize tiers and the overall odds of winning are published on the game page and may vary by game. Prizes are won by matching the required number of selections or, for casino / eGaming games, by the game's published outcome and pay table. Odds describe long-run probabilities and do not guarantee a win in any single play.
-
5. Shared jackpots and pari-mutuel prizes
Top prizes (jackpots) and certain tiers may be shared equally among all valid winning entries in that tier for the same draw. Where a prize pool is divided among winners, individual amounts depend on the number of winners and the total entries, and may differ from any advertised estimate.
-
6. Sports betting — markets and settlement
Sports bets are accepted on the markets and at the prices shown when your bet is confirmed. Bets are settled on official results from recognized data sources. Where an event is postponed or abandoned, or a result is corrected, markets are settled or voided according to the published rules for that market. You can see how a market is defined and how it settles before you place a bet.
-
7. Claiming and paying prizes
Prizes are credited to your account after results are validated. Before any withdrawal we complete identity, age and residency verification (KYC), and certain prizes may be subject to procedures set by BCLC and the regulator. Prizes must be claimed within the period stated for each game; unclaimed prizes after that period are handled in accordance with applicable regulations.
-
8. Cancellations and errors
Once a draw cut-off has passed, or a sports market is settled, entries generally cannot be cancelled. In the case of a system error, pricing mistake, or display discrepancy, our official records govern and affected entries may be corrected, refunded or voided. Refunds, where applicable, are returned to your account.
-
9. Responsible-gambling controls in play
Any deposit, time or self-exclusion limits you have set apply to play and may prevent or restrict an entry. Where a limit, break or Game Break self-exclusion is active, affected purchases will be declined. These GameSense controls are part of the game rules and cannot be bypassed.
-
10. Game integrity
All games operate on BCLC's certified platform under the Gaming Control Act (British Columbia). We reserve the right to suspend a game, correct an error, or void affected entries where the integrity of a result is in question, in accordance with these conditions and our regulatory requirements. Game-specific rules are published on each game page and form part of the Player Agreement.
