Who we are
LottoBC Mobile is operated by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), a Crown corporation of the Province of British Columbia established on 25 October 1984. BCLC is authorized to conduct, manage and operate gambling in British Columbia under the Gaming Control Act (British Columbia). Our offering covers lotteries (including Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, BC/49, Extra, Keno and BC 50/50), casino / eGaming and sports betting, each only to the extent BCLC is authorized to provide them in the province.
Our mission
Our mission is to provide gambling entertainment in a way that is safe, responsible and fair. We design our games and services to be clear and transparent, to make responsible-gambling tools easy to use through GameSense, and to treat every player with respect. Gambling should be entertainment — never a way to make money or solve financial problems.
How we are governed
BCLC operates within the legal framework of British Columbia and Canada. Our authority to conduct, manage and operate gambling comes from the Gaming Control Act (British Columbia), and oversight is provided by the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO). We also meet federal obligations relating to anti-money-laundering under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act, with reporting to FINTRAC.
Responsibility first
Responsible gambling is central to how we operate. Through our GameSense program, every player can set deposit and time limits, use reality checks, take a break, or enrol in Game Break (Voluntary Self-Exclusion) at any time. We promote play as entertainment, verify that players are 19+ and resident in British Columbia, and make help easy to find.
