Cookies Policy
What cookies are, the categories we use, and how to control your choices. Read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit our website. We also use similar technologies such as pixels / web beacons and local storage. They help us recognise your settings, keep you signed in, improve security and understand how the site is used. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
-
2. Consent and our CMP
On your first visit you will see a cookie banner (Consent Management Platform) that describes the cookies we use and lets you choose by category; keeps non-essential cookies switched OFF by default (opt-in, with no pre-checked boxes); offers equally weighted "Accept all", "Reject all" and "Settings" options; and records your choice and lets you change it at any time via "Manage cookies" in the footer. We use Google Consent Mode v2: Google services (Analytics, Ads) are not loaded until you give consent.
-
3. Categories of cookies
Strictly necessary cookies (no consent required) handle session management, security and CSRF protection, and storing your consent. Functional cookies (consent required) remember preferences such as display settings. Analytics cookies (consent required), for example Google Analytics 4, help us understand and improve the site. Marketing cookies (consent required) support advertising and measurement; they are directed at adults (19+), targeted only at British Columbia, and never at minors.
-
4. Cookie table
Examples of the cookies we use: PHPSESSID (necessary, session management, LottoBC Mobile, session, first party); csrf_token (necessary, CSRF protection, LottoBC Mobile, session, first party); cookieconsent (necessary, stores your consent, LottoBC Mobile, 12 months, first party); _ga (analytics, Google Analytics ID, Google, 2 years, third party); _ga_* (analytics, GA4 tracking, Google, 2 years, third party). This inventory is kept current.
-
5. Managing your choices
Use "Manage cookies" in the footer at any time, or your browser settings, to delete or block cookies. Refusing non-essential cookies is as easy as accepting them. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop the site working correctly.
-
6. Legal framework, changes and contact
We use cookies consistent with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (British Columbia) and applicable rules. We may update this policy from time to time; the current version, with its effective date, is always available here. Questions can be sent to support@lottobcmobile.co or through the contact form at https://lottobcmobile.co/support.
