The regulatory framework and player-protection rules that govern how LottoBC Mobile operates in British Columbia.

1. Regulatory framework
LottoBC Mobile is operated by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), a Crown corporation of the Province of British Columbia established on 25 October 1984. In British Columbia, BCLC is authorized to conduct, manage and operate gambling under the Gaming Control Act (British Columbia). We design our games, payouts and communications to meet the standards set by that Act and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Our services cover lotteries, casino / eGaming and sports betting, only to the extent BCLC is authorized to offer them in the province.

2. Oversight
Oversight of gambling in British Columbia is provided by the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO). BCLC operates within the conditions and standards that apply to a provincial Crown corporation, covering game fairness, the protection of player funds, advertising standards and responsible-gambling obligations, all of which we are required to follow.

3. Age, residency and location rules
You must be 19 years of age or older — the legal gambling age in British Columbia — and resident in and physically located in British Columbia each time you play. We verify age, identity and residency at registration (KYC) through our Document Upload tool, and we may use location and residency checks to confirm eligibility. Accounts that do not meet these requirements may be refused, suspended or closed.

4. Anti-money-laundering and compliance
We maintain anti-money-laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) controls consistent with the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA), with reporting to FINTRAC. We monitor for suspicious activity and may request source-of-funds information. Records are retained for audit in accordance with our legal and regulatory obligations.

5. Game fairness and certification
Lottery draws and the outcomes of eligible casino / eGaming games are produced by a certified random number generator that is independently tested by accredited laboratories for fairness and integrity. Game rules, prize structures and odds are published in our Specific Conditions of Use. Where the displayed information and our certified records differ, the records prevail, and affected plays may be corrected, refunded or voided. See our Fairness & RNG Testing Methods page.

6. Responsible gambling and complaints
We provide responsible-gambling tools through GameSense, including deposit and time limits, reality checks and Game Break (Voluntary Self-Exclusion). If you have a complaint, contact our Customer Support team first at 1-866-815-0222 or support@lottobcmobile.co; we aim to resolve matters promptly. Disputes that cannot be resolved with our team may be escalated to the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO).
